Young Americans heading to Hartlepool stage

TALENTED young performers will be showing off their skills on a Hartlepool stage next month.

The Young Americans have revealed plans for a charity concert show at the Borough Hall on Thursday, April 3, with the funds raised going towards the organisation’s plans to do vital work in South Africa.

Proceeds from the show will support underprivileged students in the townships of Cape Town, in South Africa.

Simon Massey is the international booking director for the Young Americans whose base is in California. He said: “Hartlepool enjoys a long and successful relationship with The Young Americans, working in many local schools, whilst also playing to sold-out houses at the Borough Hall.”

Tickets for the two-act show are available from One77 in York Road, High Tunstall College of Science, English Martys School and Sixth Form College, Manor College of Technology and also on the door.

The Young Americans were founded more than 50 years ago in Hollywood, California.

Its students travel the world and use music as a tool to inspire young people and audiences all across the globe.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm show, with tickets priced at £10.
