DRIVERS are being issued with some parking advice ahead of a series of big-name music concerts in Sunderland this summer.
On Thursday Bon Jovi play at the Stadium of Light followed by Rihanna on Thursday, June 20, and North East Live two days later.
Drivers can make use of parking and accommodation facilities at the University of Sunderland, where there are more than 1,200 parking spaces available at either its City Campus (Postcode: SR1 3RG) from where you can walk or take the Metro to the Stadium - or the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s (Postcode: SR6 0AN), which is just a few minutes’ walk from the venue. Parking will be pay on arrival and costs £5.
Parking is available from 4.30pm on weekdays and all day at weekends.
The University is working with The Rotary Club of Sunderland, with all parking income going towards local charities and the University’s Futures Fund.
