AMERICAN pop icons The Jacksons are set to fly to the UK to headline a one-off show in Sedgefield.
The four brothers of pop legend Michael Jackson – Jermaine, Marlon, Jackie and Tito – will take to the stage at the second annual Hardwick Live Garden Party, which has expanded to a weekend of entertainment.
The legendary group, who have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, are set to rock fans with hits such as ABC, I Want You Back, and Can you Feel it on Saturday, September 13, while Glaswegian Brit award nominated band Simple Minds will play on the Friday.
John Adamson, managing director of Ramside Estates, said; “We are flying The Jacksons in from the USA especially for Hardwick Live. Getting them is real coup for us as they’re loved by young and old, and this is a fantastic opportunity to see them live in the UK. I’ve no doubt that they will put on a sensational performance as will our Friday headliners Simple Minds.”
Eighties idol Adam Ant, who scored 10 top ten hits in the UK including three number one singles, will support The Jacksons. He will be joined on the bill by rock band Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, Hugh Cornwall of The Stranglers and ‘90s Brit pop heroes Dodgy. In addition to the music, party-goers can look forward to fairground rides and street entertainers, a brass band, DJ stage and the luxurious Champagne Taittinger hot air balloon. More acts for Friday’s lineup are set to be announced soon.
Friday’s event will run from 4pm-11pm and gates will re-open on Saturday from noon-11pm.
Individual tickets can be purchased for each day at £36 (adult), £10 (young person under 16) and £5 (child) for Friday and £49 (adult), £12 (young person under 16) and £6 (child) for Saturday.
There will also be a limited number of gold tickets available for Saturday priced at £119.
