There’s so much going on this next week, you’re spolied for folky choice.

Tonight, over at The Duke of Cleveland, Paul and Barrie will be having their Christmas party for the Headland Folk Club.

There’s food and a raffle so get yourself along there and join in the fun.

On Sunday, The Nursery Inn at Hopps Street, Hartlepool, is hosting the Ian Humberston brass quartet who will play carol tunes for you to join in with. Starts at 2pm.

This coming Monday, December 21, The Pools Folk and Acoustic Music Club will be hosting their party evening.

It’s £2.50 a ticket and their guest is Serious Sam Barrett. You’re guaranteed a cracking night’s entertainment and the food’s always tasty. This is also at the Nursery Inn.

The club prides itself on not closing for bank holidays so they’ll be there all over the Christmas and New Year break for those evenings you suddenly find yourself looking for something to do on a Monday you haven’t done before.

And on Tuesday, December 22, over at the Foggy Furze Folk Club (FFFC) held in the Causeway Inn, Stranton, the members of the club are hosting a ‘carol-along’.

The idea is the members will lead the singing of carols that you all know and just get the Christmas season kicked off in proper style. Oh, and there’s food there too.

The FFFC will be closed between Christmas and New Year with no meeting on December 29, so the next meeting after the New Year will be on January 5.

You’re welcome in any of the clubs, whether it’s just to listen or play or sing.

At the Foggy Furze Folk Club, it’s £1 per evening for a singaround and £2 for a guest night.

You can contact Kay De’Ath on kay@foggyfurzefolk.com or visit the club website HERE.

It meets at 8pm each Tuesday and new faces are most welcome.
