FOUR of the world’s biggest stars have signed a guitar for a Hartlepool cancer charity.

Music v Cancer, which was founded by town man Tony Larkin, has managed to get the instrument daubed with the signatures of four of The Jacksons.

Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon – four of the globally-reknowned Jackson 5 – were more than happy to scribble their autographs on the guitar during their visit to Hardwick Hall Hotel, in Sedgefield, where they played a gig last weekend.

Feature writer Marie Westmoreland, who is also a Music v Cancer volunteer, was lucky enough to meet the fab quartet and got the guitar signed, which will be auctioned off, probably online, by the charity.

He told the Mail: “I was over the moon when I found out The Jacksons had signed the guitar for us.

“We have a really small team working, but everybody does really well, and to get The Jacksons to do something like this, considering how big they are across the world, it’s just a fantastic boost.

“I’m sure it’ll do very well in auction which is just great for raising awareness and money for such an important cause.”

Music v Cancer was founded by Tony after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2009.

The next musical night will be held on Friday, October 3, at The Grand Hotel, in Swainson Street, Hartlepool.

Tickets cost £15 per night from the Grand Hotel on (01429) 266345.
