The hit musical show, which has been practised for months by the dedicated youngsters, features a number of songs by popular ska band Madness, such as Our House, It Must Be Love, Baggy Trousers, House of Fun and Driving in My Car.

Drama teacher Sarah Smith said: “It’s been really well received and two of the three nights were sold out.

“The kids have absolutely loved it.

“Some of the pupils who were in main parts have never even stepped foot on a stage before, and here they are acting out their parts alongside those that have been doing it for years.”

She added: “They seem to have really enjoyed it and I am extremely proud of them as we are every year.

“The main cast this year has been really strong and their voices and singing has been picked out as being really professional-sounding.”

The show was held over three days this week, on Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday.
