Indie-rock heroes Maxïmo Park have added a Hartlepool show to their almost sold-out 10th anniversary tour, it was announced today.
The band will play at Hartlepool Borough Hall on Saturday, December 12, after an extra gig was added to their tour.
Having sold out an initial run of shows in November in less than 10 minutes, they announced a subsequent four shows in December.
These will now start with the Hartlepool date, which is almost a hometown gig for singer Paul Smith, who was born in Billingham, and went to college in Hartlepool.
The shows are a celebration of the past decade and the release of their debut album A Certain Trigger.
They will see the band play the album in its entirety alongside a selected setlist of rarities and previous singles.
A Certain Trigger and Missing Songs - comprising B-sides and demos from sessions in 2005 - have been re-mastered and will be available on limited edition vinyl on October 30.
Tickets for the Hartlepool gig go on sale at 9am on Friday, priced £25, from HERE.
