The gig is organised to take place on Friday, March 6, from 8pm.

Liddell is a known music talent across the region and will also be supported by town band Mercedes.

There will also be support in the shape of Brian Batey, who will perform a collection of covers and self-written songs.

A spokesman for Pindrop said: “We are super stoked to get Paul Liddell playing his debut PinDrop, with echoes of John Martyn, and other folk rock legend influences as well as a dash of americana with some added loop station magic.

“It’s going to be great.”

He added: “Support comes from Hartlepool’s own and impressive Mercedes who actually played the very first PinDrop, and in a stripped back three piece to suit the PinDrop ethos.

“Kicking the night off is ex-member of The Woven Project (PinDrop founders) Bri Batey, giving us a mixed bag of unique covers and self penned melancholic song from his archive, and may have some guests with him.”

The gig is free entry, and although not obliged, music lovers are urged to put a few spare coppers in the hat at the end of the night “as this goes a long way to helping these nights continue.
