Summer is an ideal time for folk

Now that summer’s finally arrived, today would be a great opportunity to go along to the Duke of Cleveland pub in Church Walk on the Headland and join the Headland Folk Club in with their fortnightly jamboree.

Paul will be there to greet you and help make the proceedings move along.

On Monday evenings each week you can get along to the Nursery Inn in Hopps Street and join in with a bit of drumming first thing, followed by the Pools Folk and Acoustic music evening with Yorkie to oversee the organising.

And on Tuesday evenings you can visit the Causeway Inn in Stranton, play a bit of darts or pool, sit for the artists’ group or join in with the music group meeting in the guise of the Foggy Furze Folk Club (FFFC), when Kay will keep things in order and generally keep her flock of singers on track.

All held together by the excellent ambience which is the Causeway.

You can keep up with the FFFC goings on at www.foggyfurzefolk.com.Kay De’Ath or chat to me on kay@foggyfurzefolk.com.

Come on in, the water’s lovely.
