Canadian rocker Bryan Adams is heading to the region this month - and you could be there for free.

The multi-platinum selling singer will take to the stage at Emirate ICG, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, on Friday, August 12, as part of his European Get Up Tour.

The tour follows on from the huge success of the release of his latest album Get Up at the end of last year, his 13th studio album.

Bryan Adams has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide after rising to fame with his 1983 album Cuts Like a Knife followed by 1984 release Reckless, which produced some of his best-known songs including Run to You and Summer of ‘69.

Bryan said: “The Get Up Tour is shaping up to be a fantastic summer for me with dates UK wide. We have seen such a great response from fans all over the UK that we wanted to reach as many places as possible.

“We’ll be rocking the stage with songs from the new album, which I think are some of my finest yet, and of course there’ll be some of the old favourites, too.”
