REVIEW: Disney on Ice was a frozen extravaganza

ONE hundred years of Disney Magic skated into the Metro Radio Arena for an ice extravaganza of animation history.

Far from the bare necessities, the show brought together some of Disney’s all-time greats and took us to a whole new world - this time a frozen one.

From Mickey and Minnie, to Mulan, Toy Story, Disney Princesses, Aladdin, Pinocchio, The Lion King and many more, an ice spectacular of unforgettable characters and 18 beloved stories.

Disney movies or shows never fail to impress and this was no exception.

Kids and adults alike were entertained, enthralled and excited for 90 magic-packed minutes.

This was the first night of a five-night stint in Newcastle - the second stop of a UK tour for the show - and there were one or two trips and slips along the way. But let’s remember it was all played out on ice!

But you would have hardly noticed and the engrossed infants in the packed crowd certainly didn’t as they witnessed Disney’s circle of life of the last century.

No matter what your mood or your age - you can’t fail to smile, clap and sing along to some classics.

A super, super show and well worth the ticket price.

But remember, it is an ice show, so wrap up. But then again, the cold never bothered me any way!
