DID Billingham Forum Theatre’s pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs show the audience a good time?
Oh yes it did!
Children and adults from Hartlepool and across Teesside packed into the theatre, in The Causeway, in Billingham, for the much-anticipated show.
The high-lights of the show included the grand entrance of the seven dwarfs who entered the theatre through the stalls running past the delighted audience, The 12 Days of Christmas song performed by several members of the cast, and also the rendition of chart-topping song ‘What Does the Fox Say?’
Emmerdale actor Kurtis Stacey was also excellent as the henchman, and funnyman Jimmy Cricket had my two sons giggling to his gags.
To name a couple of negatives, the first half of the show was a little slow at times but that all changed in the second half when the fairytale seemed to pick up pace, and some of the actors’ microphones could have done with being turned up a notch as some of them were on the quiet side at times.
Overall though, the youngsters in the audience enjoyed the performance and were kept entertained for the duration.
The panto runs up until January 5 with prices starting at £13.
