IRISH eyes will be smiling on the Tees Valley later this week when an internationally acclaimed show comes to the area.
A production called Essence of Ireland is on the way and it is a tale of love and heartache to be performed at the Forum Theatre in Billingham.
Two nights of shows are planned on Friday, October 18, and Saturday, October 19.
A matinee also on the way on the Saturday.
Essence of Ireland is back on tour in the UK after enjoying huge acclaim on its recent tours of South Africa and the Middle East.
The show is set in 20th Century Ireland, England and America. It tells a story of love, joy, happiness and heartache which is all told through music, song and dance.
It is inspired by true events and is the story endured by Cora McGowan and Sean Dempsey as they are separated by emigration from each other and their beloved homeland of Ireland.
Irish classics as Galway Girl, Irish Rover, Song for Ireland, Danny Boy, Carrickfergus and Ireland’s Call will all be performed.
Tickets are priced at £21.50 or £19.50 with concessions and the evening shows start at 7.30pm with the Saturday matinee at 3pm.
