Most people appear to be following government advice to stay at home unless for shopping, health reasons such as care and daily exercise, or work that cannot be done from home.
Our chief photographer Frank Reid has been out on the road capturing the scene in wards right across the town.
It is a similar picture in roads that are normally bustling with traffic and people now practically deserted.
