Police probe racism allegation following Hartlepool United v Ebbsfleet United FC match

Hide AdA Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Police were made aware of an allegation of a racist comment made during the Hartlepool United and Ebbsfleet United FC match this weekend.
“Officers have been working closely with the club and inquiries are ongoing.
“Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact Sergeant Adrian Dack on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
Meanwhile the club said that two alleged incidents of racism during the game have been made and they are being the subject of a full investigation.

Hide AdCondemning ‘abuse of any nature’, a club spokesman said Hartlepool United are committed to promoting diversity and educating inclusivity.
A Hartlepool United spokesman said: “Following the fixture against Ebbsfleet United, we can confirm that allegations of two incidents during the game have been made.
“It is important to state that, at this stage, these alleged incidents are unsubstantiated and will be subject to a full investigation.
“We will hide nothing in our thorough examination of the facts and will respond to any enquiries from any authorities.
