Pools season ticket sales pass 2,000 milestone
Club Chief Executive Mark Maguire was in the ticket office to complete the sale himself and thank Barry personally for his continued support.
Barry, who has been a regular at Victoria Park since the 1970s, took advantage of the Club’s offer on free Under 12s tickets to also bag a seat for his grandson Caleb.

Barry, an accountant for Sunderland Council, said: “He asked me whether I would take him this season and the offer of free Under 12s Season Tickets fell perfectly for us so he’s really excited now.
“The offer is brilliant; I know people with families and it can be very expensive to go to the football but this massively helps and hopefully it can help grow the Club’s fanbase.”
He is hopeful of a more stable season following the takeover by businessman Raj Singh and signing a series of new players.

“Hopefully can have some entertainment along the way too; I’ve seen some cracking games and goals over the years here at The Vic so it would be nice to get some of that back in the new season.”
