Restaurant's absent '˜employee' is no dummy to become Facebook sensation
A shop window mannequin that usually graces the Sheesh Mahal in Coronation Drive, Seaton Carew, has gone walkabout - and even set up her own Facebook page to catalogue her adventures.
Under the name Sheesh Mahal-equin, the gastronomic gadabout has been posting pictures of her travels, from Hartlepool United’s Victoria Park to Middlesbrough’s Transporter Bridge.

Hide AdShe enjoyed a game of pool at The Traveller’s Rest, dropped in at Karisma Hair Salon for a brush-up and had a little retail therapy at Teesside Park, before heading to The Pizza Guys for a late-night feed.
And she even found time to call in at the Hartlepool Mail’s Scarborough Street office to catch up on her favourite read.
Alas, as our exclusive shots of her sunning herself at Hartlepool Marina show, the weekend’s excesses have left her - quite literally - legless.
Sheesh Mahal boss Shay Miah is delighted with his escaped employee’s social media profile and was quick to deny claims on-line that her disappearance had been reported to police.

Hide AdHe had a shrewd idea of which of his regulars is responsible: “We don’t know for sure who it is but we do have some ideas,” he said.
“She disappeared on Friday night - the mannequin is normally holding menus inside the restaurant, but it was busy and all of a sudden, she was gone.
“It was Saturday morning when people started telling me she had her own Facebook page - she has been quite busy over the weekend.
“She has been to the match, she has even been as far as Middlesbrough.”

Hide AdShay is unsure when to expect his missing social media celebrity to return to menu-holding duties, though: “From what I have heard, she won’t be back until she runs out of money - at least that’s all I have heard from Facebook,” he said.
“You know as much as I do.”
