Hartlepool United’s National League match at Halifax Town this evening will go ahead as planned (7pm kick-off).

The fixture at The Shay was initially subject to a 1pm pitch inspection on Tuesday afternoon but this was quickly deemed unnecessary early on Tuesday morning.

And after the originally scheduled tie on January 2 was postponed due to a frozen pitch, it now looks as though the game will finally get to go ahead.
