Tour guides are among the roles on offer.

Head guide Daniel Watkins, who is involved in seasonal recruitment every year, said: "We always look to recruit special individuals who share our enthusiasm for Alnwick Castle and can pass that enthusiasm onto our many visitors.

“Alnwick Castle's staff are one big team; every member of staff is valued and plays an important part in ensuring visitors have the great experience they expect.

"Language skills are always in demand as we have an increasing number of groups visiting who speak Spanish, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Japanese and many more!

“For every role, no matter what it involves, we will be looking for enthusiasm, flexibility, a willingness to learn, and a friendly nature."

Many exciting activities are planned at Alnwick Castle in 2020.

The castle will re-open for the 2020 season on Friday, March 27, but before then, all new staff will be recruited, trained, and in place to ensure visitors have the best time ever.

As usual there are many exciting activities planned at Alnwick Castle including Harry Potter-themed events and another eagerly awaited and thrilling Joust of the North.
