Hartlepool Council has announced extra slots for its Christmas tree collection service. If you have a real tree this year, here’s how you can recycle it in Hartlepool.
Residents must book an appointment to dispose of their tree at the HWRC.
Where is the Hartlepool recycling centre?
Household Waste Recycling Centre, Burn Road, Hartlepool, TS25 1PL.
When is it open?
The centre is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9am until 4pm.
The site is closed daily between 12pm and 1pm.
How can I recycle my tree if I can’t get to a Household Waste and Recycling Centre?
Hartlepool Borough Council is offering a tree collection service for “real” trees from tomorrow, Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
Residents of Hartlepool who wish to use this service must book for a collection to take place.
You can book online at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/collectmytree or phone 01429 523333.
All decorations must be removed prior to collection and disposal.
The council has warned that it reserves the right to cancel collections if staffing levels are affected by the Covid pandemic.
Trees will be collected from where you would normally present your wheelie bins and should be put out for collection by 7.30am on the booking day.
Collections can booked in up to 4pm the previous working day.
