Where is the Hartlepool recycling centre?

Household Waste Recycling Centre, Burn Road, Hartlepool, TS25 1PL.

When is it open?

The centre is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9am until 4pm (expect Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).

The site is closed daily between 12pm and 1pm.

Residents wanting to use the site must book an appointment in advance either online at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/hwrcbookings or by calling 01429 523333.

How can I recycle my tree if I can’t get to a Household Waste and Recycling Centre?

Alternatively, Hartlepool Borough Council is offering a tree collection service for “real” trees from Tuesday January 11 2022.

Residents of Hartlepool who wish to use this service must book for a collection to take place.

You can book online at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/collectmytree or phone 01429 523333.

All decorations must be removed prior to collection and disposal.

The council has warned that it reserves the right to cancel collections if staffing levels are affected by the Covid pandemic.

Trees will be collected from where you would normally present your wheelie bins and should be put out for collection by 7.30am on the booking day.
