Drivers are set to face three weeks of A19 disruptions as resurfacing work begins next month.
The resurfacing work will take place on the A19 in Wingate, County Durham, as Highways England contractors resurface the three miles of the carriageway between the A179 at Sheraton to the A181 at Wellfield.
Work will take place overnight from 8pm to 6am running from October 4 to October 24.
Highways England project manager Kyle Maylard said:“Work to resurface the carriageway will be undertaken at night to keep disruption for motorists to a minimum.
“Once complete, it will provide drivers with a smoother and safer journey.”
Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the A179 and A1086.
