THAT all-important pampering is just what every bride-to-be needs.
And when it comes to looking after a nervous woman on her wedding day, the staff at Tony Gallagher are the best.
The Navigation Point business is a stalwart of support for the Bride of the Year competition, run by the Hartlepool Mail in conjunction with Robert Usher Photography.
And it is back again to give its special treatment to our winner Gemma Kerr, 28.
Gemma will marry Andrew Bazeley, 25, on board HMS Trincomalee in September. She will look her very best with the help of the team at Tony Gallagher.
Louise Jones has been the owner for ten of the 12 years that the business has been open and has great pride in the custom that comes from all over the world.
As well as Louise, three senior stylists - Joanne Gill, Debbie Smith, and Leanne Ryder - all work at the salon.
So does junior stylist Arrianne Waller.
And also based within the impressive premises on Hartlepool Marina is beautician Nicola Moreland.
Nicola, a former salon manager at Springs, will be providing our bride with a gel manicure, eyelash extensions, eyebrow wax and St Tropez tan.
But the pampering doesn’t end there.
Louise and her team will be expertly handling the hair of the full wedding party of bride, mother-of-the-bride and bridesmaids.
Louise said: “It is always nice to see the bride getting some special treatment on her wedding day. We are sure she will be really excited.
“We just like to make sure she has a lovely time.”
The salon is so well regarded, it gets customers from as far afield as Australia.
“People from Hartlepool who move there and then come back, come to us to have their hair done,” said Louise.
Nicola, meanwhile, is settling nicely into her own business which she started in the salon earlier this year.
She runs the beauty room within the premises called Beauty by Nicola. She is just as keen on making sure Gemma has the best of days.
The prize has certainly impressed Gemma who said: “It is such a wonderful offer from Tony Gallagher and I am really excited about it.
“It is lovely to know that I will be getting my hair done there and I can’t wait.”
She added: “The time seems to have flown by and it is all becoming very real now.”
