THE professionalism of the team stands out.
You’re in safe hands when you deal with the staff at 1860 Suit Hire At Greenwoods Menswear Ltd – as groom-to-be Andrew Mullen, 39, has found out.
He is now only around six weeks away from the biggest day of his life, when he marries Deborah Langley, 44, on board HMS Trincomalee in Hartlepool.
They’re the couple who won our Bride of the Year competition, run by the Hartlepool Mail in conjunction with Robert usher Photography.
Andrew was at the Middlesbrough branch of the suit hire organisation to choose his outfit for the big day.
The deal involves our groom and five other members of his entourage choosing complete hire packages (complete with jacket, shirt, tie or ruche, cufflinks, hankie, trousers, and shoes) from 1860 suit hire by Greenwoods in Middlesbrough.
Store manager Anne Wright has been with the Captain Cook Square unit for 11 months and heads up a team of five people. She said business was “very good” especially thanks to the wedding season and the recent proms.
Anne said a lot of business came from both word of mouth and from wedding fairs, and added: “Our clientele tends to be quite widespread and we do get a lot of people from areas such as Hartlepool.
“I wouldn’t say there was any particular style which was more popular at the moment and colours tend to be personal preference.”
Customers can choose an option of a kilt, in fact they can choose a complete Highland wear outfit.
The team at Greenwoods make sure they go the extra mile to provide a professional service to meet the customer’s needs.
Anne added: “We ensure that they get the service and the fit they want.”
She said it was “a big thing” that the customer was happy and added: “We pride ourselves on good customer service.”
Anne explained the process of ordering a suit.
“We first take the booking and then the client will come in to be measured. About a week before the day, they will come in for a final fit.
“We offer a service where, if something is not quite right, we will change it for them.”
She said the store always took time to make sure everything was perfect.”
Customers often go back to express their satisfaction at the service they received after their big day.
“We do get gifts which is really nice. They do appreciate what we do for them.”
She said the store had met with groom-to-be Andrew Mullen and added; “He was very nice and his partner was very grateful for everything that everyone has done for them. They seem to really appreciate it all.
“I am sure everyone is going to look wonderful on the day.
“All we want to do is help to make sure everything goes well for them.”
After the meeting, Andrew said: “The people there were superb and they had a lot of really good ideas.
“Anne was really lovely and very helpful. I had it in my mind what I wanted and she helped to bring it all together.”
But the exact detail of Andrew’s outfit can not yet be revealed. He said: “It is all a big secret.”
