MEET the dance students who are days away from their big moment on the stage.

The Northern Arts Academy/ Elwick Academy of Dance in Hartlepool is planning a three night showing of a production called Bankhen.

The new musical has been written and produced by Leanne Jeffries, the business partner of Geoff Lucas at the dance school.

Leanne said: “Bankhen starts with two friends living life from day to day working in a call centre bored rigid, until they decide to go backpacking around the world.”

The photographs show the students in one scene depicting a visit to Thailand.

Leanne added: “The show is very colourful, exciting and emotional and full of song and dance which will take the audience on a fabulous journey throughout the girls travels, but along the way they find themselves caught in a predicament that will change their lives forever.”

She said the principal cast of Bankhen have worked extremely hard, rehearsing day and night and I’m sure will not fail to give a fantastic performance.

Proceeds will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The show will be held at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road, on Wednesday, July 10, Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12.

Each show will get underway at 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £9.50 for adults and £8.50 for concessions. They can be bought by calling the venue’s box office on (01429) 890000.
