Happy days on the Fish Sands back in the 1930s, where this group of youngsters posed for the Northern Daily Mail’s photographer.
Today, when the weather allows, people still flock to the Fish Sands – a natural sun-trap on the Headland.
Going through the narrow entrance and out onto the little beach and the secluded bay, was always a thrill for youngsters in years gone by – and probably remains so today.
Do you have any special memories of this wonderful place?
