A foxy little mystery is the focus of today’s Memory Lane.

“I’ve just unearthed a wonderful photo of a boy holding a baby fox in my weekly trawl through the Mail’s old glass plates,” said archivist Susan Swinney.

“There is no way, without some help, that I can identify him. I just hope one of our readers can help put a name to a face in this marvellous picture.”

Three other images - all thought to date from the 1950s - are also at the centre of an appeal for help by Susan, including a fashion show at Wesley Hall.

“I’d like collect names and dates for all of them, although I’m particularly intrigued by the one captioned “Kids days out”. Just where was it?” she said.
