Today we hit a high note with a fresh batch of puzzle pictures – all with a musical flavour.
An unknown orchestra and a mystery choir – both snapped during performances in the 1950s – take a starring role in today’s page.
Glamorous guests at a Northern Dairies Ball are also featured, but the stand-out stars are a troupe of dancers striking dramatic poses.
“All these pictures were taken by Mail photographers back in the 1950s, and are on glass plates,” said photo archivist Susan Swinney. “As seems usual for this period, there are very few details to go with the snaps. No dates, no names – and no venues either.
“If anyone can help put names to faces, please do get in touch.”
