Weekend reunions at the double

PEOPLE are being reminded about two reunions taking place this weekend.

The first is a gathering for anyone who left Hartlepool’s Manor Comprehensive School, now Manor College of Technology, in 1988, 1989 and 1990.

The reunion is being organised by former pupil Bev Fowler and proceeds will go to Park Road-based Hartlepool Special Needs Support Group (HSNSG), as Bev voluntarily works with a boy with autism and has seen how the group helps provide respite care.

It will be held at The Woodcutter pub, in Kingsley Avenue, Hartlepool, from 7pm this Saturday. There will be a £2 charge on the door, which will go straight to the special needs support group.

Anyone wanting to find out more can search for ‘Manor School reunion - The 2nd chapter’ on Facebook.

The second reunion of the weekend is for any serving or retired Durham Police officers and staff from across Hartlepool and East Durham.

It takes place this Sunday at Aykley Heads, in Durham City, from 2pm-5pm and admission is by ticket only.

Members of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (or their widows and widowers) should apply to Angie Crawford on (0191) 5180996, contact Colin Appleby on (0191) 5846178 or send an email to appleby.colin@btinternet.com.
