‘Drunk and disorderly’ passengers taken off plane at Newcastle International Airport

Police were called to deal with disruptive passengers on a plane at Newcastle International Airport.

Northumbria Police said it was called by airport staff at 4.10pm today with a request to “remove group of drunk and disorderly passengers from a plane.”

The force has said the passengers are being spoken to and officers are on the scene to support airport staff.

It is believed the flight was a Flybe service from Newcastle to Stansted.
