DOROTHY and her friends brought the wonderful world of Oz to Hartlepool during a colouful event.
The Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion joined the Kansas girl for an Adventure to Oz.
The show was staged at the town’s Maritime Experience on Friday night with a range of fun for families.
The award-winning tourist attraction was transformed into the mysterious land of Oz as the new Disney film Oz the Great and Powerful is in cinemas.
It is a prequel to L. Frank Baum’s much-loved Wizard of Oz.
We were there to capture these photos as visitors came face-to-face with witches and the Wizard of Oz himself.
There was an Oz scavenger hunt, with prizes for people who went in the best Wizard of Oz costumes.
The Baltic Suite – which was turned into Kansas and the Emerald City – hosted craft activities including creating a badge for the Cowardly Lion and a heart for the Tin Man, as well as making lion masks and lollipops and decorating a rainbow cake.
Balloon modeller, juggler and unicyclist Tom Rolfe entertained the crowds, while there was also plate spinning and juggling diabolos along with the traditional challenge to bite the apple on a string.
