THE constant rainfall has finally eased - but the aftermath of recent torrential conditions continues to cause slight problems on the roads.
Motorists travelling on the A19 face an easier journey today after two days of tailbacks due to flooding.
Slip roads on to the A19 both northbound and southbound at Billingham Bottoms have now reopened but the A139 Bilingham Road, in Norton, remains closed between the B1274 High Street roundabout junction and the A1027 bypass road junction.
Various other roads throughout Teesside remain closed including sections of the flooded A1.
Firefighters in Hartlepool have so far received no weather-related call-outs.
After the rain finally eased yesterday, Hartlepool is set for a dry day tomorrow today with temperatures reaching 15C.
The sun is forecast to shine down on the town on Saturday although temperatures aren’t expected to get any higher than 14C.
But the break from the rainfall won’t last long and a wet day is expected throughout Sunday although it should ease off for the start of next week.
