A rocking good Christmas

HARTLEPOOL is set to rock its way to Christmas thanks to a live music jamboree.

Folk and acoustic artists will gather at the Hillcarter Hotel for a night featuring five acts on Sunday, December 23.

The hotel’s Rooftop venue will host acts such as Silver Trees featuring Hartlepool singer songwriter Lee Maddison, Fishburn-based group The Bluebuds, local folk band Pan & The Dukes, Russ Duggan & Friends, and nine-year-old singer songwriter Jacob Darley.

DJ Horace Zontal will be keeping the music playing in-between sets and after the show.

Hartlepool promoters Bonus Grooves Ents are organising the event called the PinDrop Festive Jamboree in association with rockpig. It starts at 7pm and organisers say it will last “until late.”

Amanda Gallagher of rockpig. said “We are very excited about this. It promises to be a great night jam-packed full with some of our region’s brilliant talent, and in a beautiful bespoke venue which is very fitting for the evening”.

Since the first PinDrop evening in November 2010. the events have proved to be a popular addition to the town’s live scene.

Brian Barnes, of Bonus Grooves Ents, and founder of the PinDrop brand, said: “We held a similar night in The Rooftop this time last year and it went down a storm.”
