A show for the curious

ENTERTAINMENT with a curious twist is days away from thrilling the crowds in Hartlepool.

The Curiosity Show comes to Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience on Sunday, June 3, as part of the celebrations to mark 60 years of the Queen’s reign.

The live acts include a man inside a balloon, a magician and an escapologist.

A show will run every 30 minutes, between 11am and 5pm, and will last for 15 minutes. The line-up includes Todd Various from the USA who is both a magician and an escapologist.

Strong lady Betty Brawn and the man inside the balloon, called The Balloonatic, will also perform as will Danny 5, with his bed of nails, and Compact Joe who performs as the man in a box.

The Diamond Festival is being arranged by Hartlepool Borough Council in partnership with other town organisations.
