A charity will be raising awareness of its work throughout this week.

Epilepsy Outlook in Hartlepool will be promoting itself during National Epilepsy Week which started today.

The main aim of the cause is to support people with epilepsy. It has a team of volunteers who help to keep the operation thriving.

Operations manager Jacqui Gettings said the charity would be running a raffle this week with tickets available in the Epilepsy Outlook shops.

And on May 23, it will have a tombola stall in the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.

The charity’s officials will also be holding a flag day as well as encouraging people to visit the advice room within its Park Road base.

Epilepsy Outlook recycles 90 per cent of the donations they receive. Donations of furniture should go to the Park Road base and charity officials can even come and collect the furniture themselves.

Epilepsy Outlook has moved its headquarters and its popular weekly art club from York Road to a base just round the corner in The Arches, in Park Road in Hartlepool.

But the well-used cause is still continuing to run its two charity shops, in York Road and Oxford Road, as well as taking donations of furniture at Park Road.
