After-school club can help working Hartlepool parents

As thousands of youngsters go back to school, parents are being reminded about a council-run club.

The Hartlepool Council Oscar after-school service and holiday club is on offer to parents in the town.

It involves staff picking up children from school and transporting them to the Oscar Playcentre, in Catcote Road, where they can take part in a range of fun and educational activities.

Parents then have until 6pm to collect their children.

The scheme also operates during school holidays when parents can drop off their kids from 8am and collect them by 5.45pm.

Dozens of children aged three to 16 regularly attend the Oscar Playcentre facility, based at West Rugby Club, to help ease the pressure on working parents.

Oscars has an ‘Outstanding’ grade from Ofsted. To book a place, email sandra.robinson@hartlepool.gov.uk or call 07771 936968.
