Alastair Cook stands 12th on the all-time list of the world's leading Test run-scorers after passing the 10,000 barrier in Durham this afternoon.

Cook achieved the feat on the fourth afternoon of the second Investec Test at the Emirates Riverside when he hit Nuwan Pradeep for four from the sixth ball he faced as England closed on a series-sealing victory.

Cook stands 12th on the all-time list of the world’s leading Test run-scorers.
