A SCHOOLBOY was attacked by a thug who then stole his mobile phone in broad daylight.
Police said the 11-year-old boy was standing with his friend, also 11, in Manor Park, in Owton Manor Lane, Hartlepool, when they were approached by a teenager who pushed him to the ground, punched him in the face and then made off with his Blackberry Curve mobile.
The attacker, who is thought to be around 15-years-old, was wearing a black hoody with the hood pulled over his head, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
He was white, had a spotty complexion and was around 5ft 5in tall.
The teenager made off towards St Patrick’s shops after the attack, which happened at around 6pm on Friday, September 28.
