CHILDREN’S book charcters leapt off the page for a church summer fair which raised £1,500 towards vital repair work.
Crowds flocked to Holy Trinity Church, in Seaton Carew, for an afternoon of entertainment.
The event was boosted by the gorious weather which saw many visitors to Seaton drop in and try their luck on the various stalls.
Sarah Barton, of the church choir, said: “It was fantastic. There was about a hundred people there and they were entertained by Hartlepool Junior Stage Society who sang pop songs.
“The weather was absolutely glorious. It really did make it even better than usual.”
Stall holders dressed as children’s book chracters such as Where’s Wally. Cinderella and Bob the Builder.
A number of children also won prizes for in a fancy dress competition.
The top three winners were Rapunzel, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Minnie Mouse.
