Appeal to trace victim of attempted robbery in Hartlepool

Police are appealing to trace a victim following an attempted robbery in Hartlepool.

The incident took place at about 7pm on Saturday, February 6 in Burn Valley Park.

It was reported that the victim was approached by a male, who threatened him with violence and told him hand over his bank card.

The suspect is described as wearing a navy blue hooded top and blue jeans. He threw the victim’s bank card before he made off.

The victim was uninjured.
