FOUR cars were “extensively” damaged after being rammed by a stolen vehicle.
Police were called to Northgate, on Hartlepool’s Headland, after a grey Vauxhall Vectra crashed into four parked cars.
A blue Citroen Xsara, a black 3 Series BMW, a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a red Astra van were severely damaged following the incident, which took place around 10.20pm on Sunday.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “We arrested a 22-year-old male for aggravated taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving with no insurance.”
The suspect has been bailed pending further inquiries.
