PEOPLE have the chance to sign up to a popular sporting event.
Athletes are encouraged to sign up for Hartlepool’s third Big Lime Triathlon.
The endurance event takes place on Sunday, September 20, and will comprise of a 750 metre swim, 20 kilometre bike ride and 5 kilometre run.
It is being organised by Hartlepool Borough Council’s sport and physical activity team, with support from British Triathlon, and is open to anyone aged 16 and over.
Kay Stokes, of the sport and physical activity team, said: “The Big Lime Triathlon has now become an established fixture on the national calendar and we are delighted to be staging it for a third time.
“Last year, 235 athletes competed on the day and we will be looking to build on the huge success of that event.”
The triathlon will take place in and around Hartlepool Marina and Seaton Carew.
There are five entry categories – ages 16-19, 20-39, 40-49, 50+ and teams (mixed, male and female).
Entry costs £30 for British Triathlon members, £35 for non-members and £15 per person for teams.
