We must thank our lucky stars that the same like-minded people were not in evidence in the Second World War era with their submissive attitude.

No doubt Britain would have ended up under the jack-booted control of a Hitler regime, a much too horrifying concept to reflect upon.

On the face of it, the EU is now running scared, sensing discontentment in its own ranks and member states, its veneer blown for what it really is.

An expensive, unelected assembly of delusional Eurocrats.

Its future looks bleak.
