Books and banter club

BOOKWORMS can join in the fun at a new club.

The Rift House Community Action Team (Cat) has launched the new Books and Banter club in conjunction with the town’s 50+ forum.

Residents can pop in and collect a book free of charge every Thursday between 9.30am and noon at the Masefield Centre, in Masefield Road.

They can then stay and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

RESIDENTS can voice their concerns at a monthly meeting.

The Stockton Road Area Residents’ Association meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Ye Olde Durham’s Social Club, in St Aidan’s Street.

The meetings take place from 6pm and everyone is welcome.

LIBRARY visitors can enjoy a coffee while looking for their next book.

Owton Manor Library, in Wynyard Road, Hartlepool, hosts the coffee morning every Tuesday, between 10am and noon.
