Bradley Lowery Foundation offers space for child in executive box at Sunderland season opener

The Bradley Lowery Foundation are offering poorly children the chance to watch Sunderland's first game of the new season.

The Black Cats face Charlton Athletic at the Stadium of Light on Saturday in a 12.30pm kick-off.

Representatives of Bradley's foundation, set up following the youngster passed due to neuroblastoma over a year ago aged six, have said they are offering a youngster and their family the chance to take in the match in the executive box which is dedicated to him.

The foundation posted on social media: "We are looking for a child and their family, who has spent a lot of time in hospital, to go in our executive box at Sunderland for our first match of the season this Saturday!

"If you know someone who would love this experience please give us a message."

Bradley's brave battle against childhood cancer captured the hearts of the world, with the youngster a regular mascot for his beloved Sunderland AFC as well as England.

The Blackhall youngster struck up a heartwarming relationship with now former SAFC star Jermain Defoe, with the pair becoming best friends.
