SHOPPING centre chiefs are stepping up their facilities for customers and it includes a chance to have breakfast with Santa Claus.
Innovative bosses at the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre in Hartlepool have revealed a package of new attractions in a bid to become even more interactive with the public.
It is offering a personal shopper this weekend, where any customer who books a free session with the shopper will be advised on colour matching their clothes.
Other initiatives to come include the arrival of Santa Claus on November 18, and a chance to have breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 16.
First on the agenda is the personal shopper experience which happens tomorrow from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Centre manager Mark Ryrcraft said: “There will be a desk in the mall with someone booking time slots with the personal shopper. The services of the shopper are free but you pay for your clothes.”
Mr Rycraft said the initiative was also “about being a bit more joined up with the retailers.”
The next event in the Middleton Grange calendar is the arrival of Santa Claus on November 18 at 11am.
He will be accompanied on his arrival into the shopping centre by performers from the Val Armstrong School of Performing Arts and the Bishop Auckland Pipes and Drums.
Throughout the lead-up to Christmas, schoolchildren will be singing in the shopping centre.
And on Sunday, December 16, children can have breakfast with Santa Claus by booking slots between 9.30am and 10.30am.
Mr Rycraft said: “We did it last year and it is a chance for children to have a one-to-one experience with Santa. There will be a small cost involved whcih is to be confirmed.”
He said all of the projects were part of a “community engagement programme.”
