THE momentum is growing in our fantastic competition to win an office for a year.

But the message to businesses today is: “There’s still time to enter the Keys To Success competition.”

The contest, run by the Hartlepool Mail in association with the business support organisation UK Steel Enterprise, has already attracted entries from firms within the town and further afield.

It has had publicity all over the UK and the Mail has taken a string of phone calls from people interested in entering.

Many entrepreneurs have already entered but there are still around five weeks left before the deadline. That’s enough time for you to put yourself in the running.

The eventual winner will move into a 200 sq ft office which is rent and rate free for a year and can comfortably accommodate three people.

The office is in the Hub Two building at the Innovation Centre on the Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool.

Other facilities include one of the fastest Internet connections in the region; a water system that re-uses collected rainwater; and a charger for electric vehicles in the car park.

It also has air conditioning; a manned reception and waiting area; free parking; 24 hour access; high security; well-equipped meeting rooms; a kitchen, gym and chill-out room; and attractive landscaped grounds.

The winner will be a business that would benefit from being given the kick-start of a free furnished office and full use of all the centre facilities for 12 months.

It could be a business just starting, in its early days or ready for expansion.

It could be someone who already has business experience; a young person with limited capital; or someone older wanting to use their redundancy money to take the plunge into self-employment.

He or she could have a great idea and a sound business plan in place but is finding it difficult to find suitable premises.

They may have already started a business from home but now there is the need to make the next move into office accommodation.

Or they might have an established business that needs a larger office and an impressive environment for visiting clients.
