A time for expansion

A specialist electrical and instrument company is expanding.

Hartlepool-based Technical EX Services Ltd is enjoying huge interest for its services in the oil, gas, petroleum and chemical sectors.

The firm was set up by Dave Jackson in a workshop at the Innovation Centre, operated on the Queens Meadow Business Park by UK Steel Enterprise.

The company’s first year turnover was close to £1m and it has an anticipated growth rate of 50 per cent in the coming year.

The firm has been so successful it has taken on an extra 600 sq ft workshop, a 400 sq ft office, and increased its 20-strong workforce with four apprentices.

Dave said: “I am very pleased with the growth we have achieved. Our success is partly due to the fact that we operate in a niche market.”

The firm provides companies with engineering packages covering design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning to ensure that they comply with the legal requirements required by the Health and Safety Executive.

Dave added: “Our aim is to work in long term partnerships with our customers and we put great emphasis on service and a proactive customer-orientated approach.

“By doing that we are successful in identifying the particular goals and needs of the clients we work with to ensure cost-effective management and schedule completion. “

Technical EX Services is already operating across the UK with well-established blue-chip companies but has its sights firmly set on expanding its customer base and developing its market abroad and offshore.
