A HARTLEPOOL firm has pledged to continue banging the drum for the town after celebrating five successful years in business.

Public relations consultancy Publicity Seekers has helped manage the reputation of dozens of Hartlepool businesses since setting up in 2006.

The company was established by former journalists Jonathan Ward and Samantha Lee and has represented clients including Stadium Electronics, J & B Recycling, Hartlepool College of Further Education, The Staincliffe Hotel and Hart Biologicals.

It has recently relocated to The Innovation Centre at Queen’s Meadow Business Park.

Mr Ward said: “Hartlepool has some great stories to tell and we have been fortunate enough to have been involved with many of those, be they from the private, public or voluntary sectors.

“From day one, we have shouted loud about Hartlepool and told people what a great place it is to live and to work. We will continue to do that and our new premises at The Innovation Centre is a fantastic base to achieve that from because we are surrounded by both established and growing businesses all with exciting stories to tell.”

The company was instrumental in Pools’ legend Ritchie Humphreys’ testimonial season, which included organising testimonial dinners, celebrity golf and cricket matches, fans’ talk-ins and a hugely successful game against Premiership neighbours Sunderland.

As well as Hartlepool clients, Publicity Seekers has worked with many regional companies and organisations including travel agency Dawson & Sanderson, Middlesbrough College, Harlands Accountants and investment specialists Rivers Capital Partners.
