Going on a ‘safari’ – in Hartlepool

BUSINESS bosses will be going on safari at the latest meeting of a networking group in Hartlepool.

The Women What Do network will meet on Friday, this week, at Cafe One77 in York Road.

The meeting will run from 5.30pm to 7pm and organisers have described it as a business safari supper.

Pam Hargreaves, one of the founding members of the group, said: “We have got a range of businesswomen already signed up for the event on Friday, which promises to be a great networking opportunity for any women currently in business or thinking about starting a business.

“In this current economic climate, we shouldn’t underestimate the value of networking and building good contacts as a way of bringing in new clients and growing our businesses.

“We welcome any types of business, big or small.”

The cost of taking part in this week’s event is £5 for members and £10 for non-members and the fee is payable on the door. A light supper will be provided.

The idea of Women What Do is that it is a chance for females to get together in an informal atmosphere and discuss common issues and share ideas over wine and nibbles.

It is open to women who:

l Are self-employed or freelance;

l Work in their family business;

l Are managers in voluntary sector organisations including charities and social enterprises;
